Songs for the Secret Place-Where Faith Meets Real Life
Her music shares faith, healing, and grace through every season of life.
A Journey of Faith and Calling
Annie Whitson is an indie Christian singer-songwriter based in Seattle, Washington. Born and raised in Manila, Philippines, she immigrated to the United States in 1999, bringing with her a deep-rooted faith and a heart shaped by life’s transitions and testimony.
By profession, Annie is an engineer, but her true calling extends into ministry through music. She serves as a member of the praise and worship team at River of Life in Kent, WA, where she continues to grow in both faith and purpose.
Music Shaped by Testimony and Grace
Currently working on her debut Christian album, Annie’s music blends contemporary pop and praise and worship influences. Each original song carries a deeply personal story—reflecting moments of loss, grief, mistakes, and failure, and ultimately revealing how God’s grace sustained her through it all. Her lyrics point to the redeeming power of Jesus and the truth that His love covers every season of life.
A Mission of Worship and Redemption
Anchored in 1 Corinthians 1:27–29, Annie embraces her journey as an indie artist with humility and purpose.
“But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence.”
This truth shapes not only her music but also her mission—to remind others that God’s power is made perfect through weakness and that every story, no matter how broken, can be redeemed for His glory.
Her vision is simple yet powerful: to create music that anyone can sing in their most intimate moments with Jesus. Whether in quiet solitude or everyday life, her songs are meant to accompany personal worship, as tears poured at the feet of Christ. For Annie, worship is not confined to a stage or a church setting; it is a lifestyle, as natural and constant as breathing.
